Moss Forest 

In our perception, smaller objects often seem less significant. However, this assumption does not always hold true, particularly when considering the complexities of nature.

Moss considered the most primitive plant, but its importance is difficult to overestimate. Unlike humans, accustomed to only taking and giving nothing in return, moss requires only a small layer of moisture to thrive, yet it provides much more in return. 

Moss plays a crucial role in ecosystem functioning by absorbing significant quantities of water, mitigating the risk of underflooding. Its moisture-rich layer serves as habitat for diverse organisms and facilitates the growth of fungi, integral components of forest ecosystems. Additionally, moss promotes seed germination by providing a conducive environment compared to bare ground. 

The decline of moss in urban environments due to air pollution, dating back to the industrial era and continuing today, underscores the urgent need to address environmental degradation. This project is an attempt to reintegrate moss into urban landscapes, even if only in the form of a photograph for now.
